I really like the convenience of having both a hoof stand and a cradle in one unit. I have several horses that did not tolerate the soft-strap version of the hoof cradle well, but are content to stand with the firmer support provided by the cradle. I certainly appreciate not having to take the time to swap back and forth. I've also found that the protective covering on the one-piece cradle does not pull off easily, unlike the rubber topper on the original insert. I've had to retrieve the rubber topper from a nibbling equine or a dog on more than one occasion, but I haven't had that issue yet with this one. Not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning - I have the shorter height HoofJack intended for shorter/older horses. Based on the length of the post, the Postcradle seems to be intended for the standard height HoofJack, which makes the stand height a bit taller than with the original inserts I received. At present it's not big deal - and the post would be easy enough to shorten up with a hacksaw if it does becomes a problem.
